The Heart of This Book

At this early age, children are forming a sense of who they are, shaped by the words they hear and the love they receive. He Made You Awesome offers parents, family members, and educators a creative expression that nurtures a child's confidence in their God-given design, shaping how they come to realize their worth, belonging, and distinction.

  • Early formation of a positive God-centered image matters.

  • Children internalize what they hear repeatedly.

  • Affirmation rooted in truth shapes confidence.

With vibrant, original, hand-crafted illustrations featuring children in playful outdoor settings, engaging and inviting work offers a delightful experience that will draw a child back. As a result, children develop a faith-centered understanding that they are not random; rather, God intentionally made them. He Made You Awesome emphasizes:

  • Every child is intentionally made by God.

  • Every child is deeply loved by God

  • Every child carries a unique distinction that is favored by God.

Before the First Page

Pamela - 02.jpg

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon in October 2022, my son and I were returning home from running errands. We passed a park where we saw children in costumes walking past stations to get a trick or a treat. Before the first page was written, and while I was watching the children, the Spirit placed a message in my heart to write a book for children. It was seven months later when I sat down and wrote these words in “He Made Me Awesome’ that effortlessly poured out of my heart. I love the Lord.  I’m honored to share the words in this book so children will grow up knowing that every part of who they are is not a mistake—they are known, cherished, and wonderfully made by God.

He Made You Awesome was written for children because God wants them to know that He fully embraces their unique qualities and characteristics and they should live in that confidence rather than the opinions of others. A message that resonates across all backgrounds and nurturing and learning environments. Parents and others can use this book during reading time to reinforce truth, build confidence, and create moments of connection. This book is not just about a story—it is a message centered on God’s love for each child and their affirmation of their God-given creation.

More than Words on a Page

What message do you want children to take away from this book?

Children should know that God thought about them, loved them, and placed them in His heart before they were conceived in their mother’s womb. What God gave them and what He loves about them should capture their mind and spirit throughout their lives. He knows them intimately because He knows their heart and see them as great. As a result, they should see themselves in the truth of His love and none other.

Why is this message important for children ages 3-7?

At this age, children are forming their sense of who they are based on what they hear and experience. This book is more than a story—it is a message centered on God’s love for each child and their affirmation of their God-given creation. I want children to embrace their God-give attributes and qualities in themselves and others. Knowing what God says about them should become the center of their existence as it will never change. Keeping what He say about them in their heart and mind should sustain them through difficult times and bring continuous joy.

How can parents and others use this book effectively?

Parents and others responsible for nurturing children should align with a consistent message about who they are. They can use this book during reading time to reinforce truth, build confidence, and create moments of connection. Reassuring children that its okay to be different is not a bad thing, rather a blessing from God, the creator of all things.

“He Made You Awesome!” will affirm with clarity and simplicity where any child who reads it stands with God. They will learn in just a few short pages how uniquely loved and carefully crafted they each are. In an increasingly complex world, this book is as timely as it is brilliant.
