Waiting for God with Purpose

Honestly, of all the activities I planned in life, creating one to wait for God with a purpose never made a list nor entered into my mind. I just suffered and whined my way through without considering delays or awareness of my blessing, nor if my favor was offered and accepted by someone else. Yikes!

With the understanding that I have the exclusive privilege to respond to how I wait, I must put myself in check when my intellectual prowess perceives it offensive when God takes control. Also, I can no longer scoop to advocate cunning schemes tainted with the untruths of waiting, such as "hurry up" or "right now."

Each God-inspired page of my life equips me with the endurance and every ounce required for me to wait for God and receive all He has for me according to His will and timing. And as I invoke the extensive effort I wait for God, I ponder to release the selfishness of how much He is waiting for me.

Dear Lord, I purpose in my life to humble myself as I wait, seek, hope, or expect desires or deliverance. In thankfulness, trusting in your faithfulness for all things is my constant prayer. Let my face seek your face, so you are honored during my wait. Consecrate my thoughts toward obedience and repentance and let love rule as the onset of waiting intertwines itself into Your breathtaking plan for my life. Amen
